Hi guys get the following error
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘width’ in /home/jerseyp3/public_html/wp-content/themes/buddyboss/image.php on line 30
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘height’ in /home/jerseyp3/public_html/wp-content/themes/buddyboss/image.php on line 31
This is created by the following steps,
On activity page add photo, wait till 100% complete then get error message saying upload failed / error.
Then go to the media library where a greyed out box shows, with image name of file just uploaded.
When i click on view attachment page in media library i then shows the above message??
@jerseypeeps can you email me the photo to [email protected]
have sent an email with one of the photos attached.
Have done as suggested have upped the max upload in php.ini and no difference, will try contacting Knownhost to see if the issue is their end.
@jerseypeeps do you have any other photo editing plugins installed?
The only other ones i have are bp gallery, i’m close to just giving up on this issue now, knownhost are going round in circles saying they can upload files, but they are uploading avatar sized images.
@jerseypeeps I do not believe BuddyBoss Media and bp gallery are compatible. They are probably both trying to set a different location for photos. This could be your issue.
Ok have justs disabled and deleted plugin and still an error when uploading.
Would seem it might be a wordpress issue?
@jerseypeeps I just uploaded a photo on you site. Are you still having the issue?
Yes anything above a certain size and it fails each time, i may have to downgrade wordpress or the theme to fix this issue.
@jerseypeeps PHP has an inherent size of uploaded images. There is a large server load the larger the image. The typical size in 10M but that does not mean that is the limit as you would imaging but typically 10 million pixels in the image. You may need to contact your server host and see how large the load is and try to increase it if possible. You may also want to look into a photo cruncher that will resize/optimize the photo before upload to your site.
Thanks for the info, im still edging towards a WordPress 4.0 issue as I have never had this issue before upgrading and max-cdn host any photos so far with no issues.
Users of the website used to upload very large photos to their activity with no problems.
I will contact knownhost and get them to check, otherwise i will try downgrading wordpress
Knownhost reply ‘No helpful message is recording in the logs. Ask your developer if there there is anyway to enable debug logging for the site application’ i have tried every option now and am settling it as a wordpress 4.0 issue as many others are having the same issue, the item uploads but shows as greyed out in the media section.
This is very frustrating as no fix has been found yet ( not your fault ).
@jerseypeeps roger that. Please let me know if I need to step in again.
