Hello,
When using a copy of header.php in my BuddyBoss child theme, I understand that by placing in the child theme it is not susceptible to theme updates. But does this mean that I have to inspect theme updates to see if header.php is updated and I must then get the new code for my child theme’s header.php? Or would header.php just never be updated?

@jgwolfensberger @flick-chicks the header.php file is not changed often you shouldn’t have to worry about us updating it every time the theme is updated. You can simply check the changelog after each update to see what files were changed. It would be best to notate your changes in your own header so when we do change it you can easily know what you added to it.
@tjchester if I’ve copied the header.php file to my child theme and made some changes there would I need to worry about theme updates at all?
@flick-chicks don’t worry about it unless things stop working in the header. Only then would I recommend checking the changelog to see if we changed the header.php file. This file includes everything from the logo to the nav menu on the top of your website.
