    Hi guys!

    I like the slides for the homepage, but they’re a bit limited in what they can do.
    If I wanted to put my logo where the title of the slide would normally be, how could I do this??

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    THANKS!!!

    @antonkawasaki simply edit your home page content and put an image there via Dashboard>Pages>Edit. Remove all slides to remove the slider from the front page.

    @tjchester – Thanks, TJ…although I’m afraid I wasn’t clear in what I meant in my first post.

    I know I can add a logo to any regular page. The thing is, I want to KEEP the slides!
    I was asking if there was any way to add a logo TO a slide (where the title part would normally be).
    Is this at all possible?

    Thanks

    @antonkawasaki ah, that is not a simple solution and would require custom development. Feel free to fill out a request here: https://www.buddyboss.com/buddypress-developers/

    @tjchester Wow, really? :-\
    Gosh, well…never mind, then — I guess.
    Unfortunately, I don’t really have a budget to spend on something that SHOULD be a super simple solution. There are even free sliders I’ve seen that do a ton more than your slider does. I suppose I could try using one of those. But it just seems weird that an expensive premium theme doesn’t do something pretty basic, when a free 3rd-party plugin does it easy!

    Don’t get me wrong, I DO really love this theme a LOT!
    BUT…it’s definitely one of the pricier ones I’ve seen — more than double of most premium ones on the market. Yet it’s missing a TON of features and flexibility that most common premium themes have.

    There are a lot of features in this theme — like the slider — that are really quite weak when compared to others. (A lot of themes I’ve seen come with powerhouse plugins, like Revolution Slider, packaged in at no extra cost, and yet it’s still somehow half the price as BOSS).

    Just something to think about, guys! You may want to think of beefing up some of the super-simple features if you want to keep up with other themes! 😉

    @antonkawasaki with all the killer sliders out there we didn’t want to spend much time on it, but there were users who insisted we have one. We integrated a basic one to fill the need. Advanced uses can simply add a 3rd party slider. Sorry.

    No worries. But I think if you add any more features due to “demand,” they should probably be a little more fully-fleshed out — or just not have them at all. Users will usually always go for the “built-in” option whenever it’s available, but then if it’s TOO basic it just ends up in frustration and dissatisfaction. It’s probably better to just leave it out and force people to find a better solution elsewhere, IMHO. That way you focus on the stuff you do really well, and then ALL your features are excellent and top notch — rather than just some being great, and others being super-weak. Because then that weakens the brand…
