Question
July 6, 2015 at 4:10 am #42193@fugu78I am trying to set up a multi language site with the buddyboss theme (English / Thai ) but no matter what i do i cannot get the navigation menu (Home / Members / Groups) or the profile menu (Messages / Notifications ect) to translate. I have uploaded the thai.po into all 3 language folders (wp / buddypress / buddyboss) i also cant find the strings for the profile menus.
I have tried with WPML and polylang and im still confused. Is there an easier way to go about this?
Also, is it possible to to add a “my profile” link in the main menu?
Thanks in advance.

AlyssaParticipant@fugu78 Welcome to the BuddyBoss community! The nav menu pages take the page name directly from the page. Change this in Dashboard>Pages>Edit then change them to their proper names. You may need to go into the nav menu to change the page titles as well. I’m not sure if they will auto update with the page name change.
The profile menu is all BuddyPress translations, you may need to contact them for support on that one. You can add any links to the main menu. There should be a BuddyPress section of links to help you with that. Might need to contact BuddyPress for support on that as well.
Unfortunately, language translation is not easy, they try to with the po/mo file but there are several places to make changes besides theme/plugin files that are hard-coded upon installation of WordPress/BuddyPress with default installation language of English.
