    I have just installed the layerslider 5 plugin. It works nicely on my social learner site but the problem is that it slows down the site by a second or two. After a series of tests I have found that the main problem is in the size of the images.

    Thus I am looking into installing an image optimizer. The optimizer should ideally be able to automatically optimize images for size and quality.

    I have found a couple of plugins that seem to work together to achieve this task:
    EWWW Image Optimizer
    Imsanity

    I also think that such a plugin comes in handy when users start to upload images.
    Which plugins can you recommend to achieve this task?

    EWWW Image Optimizer is better solution
