Why do I have to subscribe, and what happens if I cancel?

Your BuddyBoss subscription grants you continued access to product updates, 24/7 support as well as pays for your use of certain services that allow your App to function.

You will be billed immediately for the first period of your subscription, with any one-time payments added to your initial amount or split over the first 3 months. After that your subscription will renew automatically after the end of every billing period, depending on the plan you select; monthly, yearly or every 3 years.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from inside your account area and you will continue to have access to all of your products and services until the end of your current billing period.

What’s your refund policy?

If you realize that the product is not right for you within the first 21 days following your purchase we will be happy to give you a full refund, no questions asked.

Can I combine these discounts with offers I already have to get an even better deal?

offers right now, but you may already have a better offer you bought before. Offers and discounts cannot be combined with each other, we encourage you to upgrade to one of these deals if it’s better value than what you are already paying, and we will give you a pro-rata refund to make up the difference on what you’ve already paid, but you can’t add a new discount on top of an already existing discount.

For example, If you bought the BuddyBoss App during our early-bird launch and you want to upgrade to a higher offer now that’s no problem, reach out to support and we’ll make it happen. But you wouldn’t be able to add the 20% discount you see today on-top of that early-bird pricing, because it’s already discounted.

Does BuddyBoss require WordPress to work?

Yes. The BuddyBoss Solution comes as the BuddyBoss Platform & App which are both installed as plugins, along with the BuddyBoss Theme, on your WordPress site. You will need a WordPress installation, so you can install them.

Does BuddyBoss and the BuddyBoss App work with any WordPress plugin?

The BuddyBoss Theme & Platform Pro works with any properly built WordPress plugin. The WordPress App has a list of dedicated react native integrations, listed on our integrations page with more being added all the time. It can also work with most 3rd party plugins through a web-fallback experience, similar to loading your website in a mobile browser.

Do you publish my App for me?

Absolutely! Your BuddyBoss App includes our world-class app publishing service where we handle everything for you!

When you’re ready to publish you will submit your app to us and first it will go through our internal review. Our team of highly experienced app publishers will go through your app with a fine-toothed comb to make sure everything meets the app store’s strict requirements and recommend any changes that you should make.

Once our team has verified your app is ready for publishing, we will submit your app on your behalf to Google & Apple and communicate back and forth with them to get your app over the finish line.

How often will my app need to be updated, and who pushes the updates?

The beauty of the BuddyBoss App is that all of the content inside your App is completely dynamic, and updates in real time as soon as you make changes inside your plugin on your website.

That means for almost all updates you will want to do; like changing menus, adding content or pages, you actually won’t need to push an update at all and your own users will see changes reflected in their hands immediately as soon as you hit save! (Cool right!)

The only time you will need to push an app update through the app stores for users to download is if we add a new feature, release an update or bugfix and you decide that you want to push that to your users.

In that case, you will generate a new build from your WordPress plugin, and send that update through our cloud update service in your plugin straight to the App store. The App store will usually approve minor updates within hours and your users will be prompted to update their App or will have the update automatically installed depending on their own device preferences.

What happens when my license expires, or if I stop paying my subscription?

If for some reason your payment fails, or we are unable to process your subscription, we will make several attempts to contact you and try to process your payment again to make sure there is no disruption to your service.

If after several attempts we are still unable to contact you, and a reasonable grace period has passed, your license will be deactivated, you will lose access to support and updates, and your App will be disabled.

If that happens, you will be able to re-enable your app at any time by paying off any unpaid balance owed and reactivating your subscription.

Can I upgrade my plan to a higher plan after I purchase?

Yes, absolutely!

If after you make your purchase you decide to upgrade to a higher plan you will simply pay a prorated amount to make up the difference for the remainder of your current billing period and your payment amount will be adjusted for the next billing period.

For any one-time payments you will simply pay the difference between the two plans.

What’s included in priority support?

Your ongoing subscription grants you access to helpful and responsive ticket-based support, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Are there any specific server requirements to run BuddyBoss and the BuddyBoss App?

BuddyBoss can run on almost any server that can run WordPress and the BuddyBoss Theme, Platform & App are all built with performance and scalability in mind.

BuddyBoss is a highly dynamic platform with interactive content and features built to be used by lots of people at the same time. Because of this, the performance of your BuddyBoss depends on how much resources you choose to give it. Generally speaking, the more resources, the better the performance will be.

We don’t recommend running BuddyBoss on a shared host and apart from that we do have some recommendations on what types of hosts work best, particularly for the BuddyBoss App, which you can read on our Knowledge Base.

Do I need Google & Apple Developer accounts in order to use the BuddyBoss App?

Yes. With the BuddyBoss App we are going to help you publish your own mobile app, from your own developer accounts.

That means, in order to use the BuddyBoss App you will first have to sign up for your own Apple & Google developer accounts which there is a small fee to pay.

The Apple Developer account costs $99/year, with the Google Developer account costing a one time fee of $25.

Is my App guaranteed to get approved by Apple & Google?

BuddyBoss has successfully published hundreds of Apps in the app stores on behalf of our customers and clients without a single permanent rejection yet.

But does that mean we can guarantee your App will get approved? Unfortunately not and here’s why:

The approval of your app depends entirely on a 3rd party, Apple or Google’s policies. Since we can’t control their policies or the way they implement them, we can’t guarantee that your app will be approved.

In our experience however, unless your content or business model violates the app store guidelines, it’s very likely that your app will be approved no problem!
