Theme updation only happens to parent theme , that is why it is recommended to make changes in child theme .A child theme inherits the parent’s theme functionality and design. Which pages are not showing on your site please tell .

Please try adding the css in custom css option in boss theme option panel . Go to Buddyboss > Boss theme > custom codes . There you can see custom css option , enable it and add the css code.
