Installation

For BP Gallery, it actually works perfectly fine with BB2 (and BP Default, etc.) – BUT you must move the Gallery subdirectory from the plugin directory to the theme directory. That contains the template.

This site was having issues earlier today. I was seeing the same thing.

Sure – I might make it more generic, though – like “Add text or embeddable media link”… to cover things like SoundCloud, Vimeo, Flickr, and Scribd. OTOH, people might not know what that means, so… once again, the tradeoff.

That’s exactly right – I hate to have more elements in the UI than absolutely necessary (hence my attraction to this theme), but there’s a tradeoff – many people might not realize they can embed media without a button.

This also works correctly in BB2.

Cool – in my email I mentioned that the same thing happens with Social Articles as well.

Ah, interesting – well, this plugin is low priority (for me, anyway), if we can get BuddyDev’s BP-Gallery working. This one does kind of clutter up the Profile menu.

Ah-HA! This appears to be related to the old overlapping Admin bar issue from RC2… this only happens with the non-admin user (and, presumably, only in a multisite setup).

I suggest “Invite Anyone” for your second requirement. It’s a free, simple, and effective plugin.

FWIW, I’ve decided to go with oembed in extended profile fields for media sharing… for now, anyway.

Sure would be nice to figure out what’s going on with the formatting, though.

Interestingly enough, trying the Cincopa solution as a potential alternative, and running into the same formatting issues. I wonder what’s going on here.
