Robert started the question Button Alignment in User Profile in the forum BuddyBoss theme 10 years, 6 months ago
Hi, this is most likely unique to us. We added a group chat plugin that shows whether a user is available or online, or not, for chat.
If user is not online, the button says “Away” and lines up perfectly with the other buttons (i.e., Cancel Friendship, Public Message, and Private Message).
However, when user is online, the button for…[Read more]

Hi TJ @tjchester! Should we also upgrade the child when we upgrade to BuddyBoss 4.0? Will we have issues later on if we did not?
I’m assuming that if we did upgrade the child as well to 4.0.2, we would need to add back our customizations.
Please advise. Thanks!!!

… when we upgrade to BuddyBoss 4.0.2? Or can we leave the child theme (version 3.2) alone?
Will we have issues later on if we do NOT upgrade the child?
Many thanks!

Robert replied to the question Issue with User Photo and Buttons in Membership Request in the forum BuddyBoss 3.0 10 years, 6 months ago
@michael We added the following code to the custom css in the child theme when we first noticed a few cosmetic irregularities in the mobile user experience:
#buddypress div.generic-button a{padding:6px 0;}
#buddypress ul.item-list li div.action{padding-bottom:4px;}
#buddypress ul.item-list li div.action{margin-bottom:4px;}
We have since…[Read more]

Robert started the question Cosmetic Issues with Group Invites and Memberships in Mobile in the forum BuddyBoss 3.0 10 years, 6 months ago
For reference, this is part C of this thread which continues to be an issue https://www.buddyboss.com/support-forums/topic/cosmetic-issues-on-mobile-user-experience/
The latest theme update (thanks!) “sort of” fixed the issue but it’s not quite there yet.
1. Under Group Invitations in a user’s profile, the Accept and Reject buttons are way off…[Read more]

Robert replied to the question Issue with Button to Accept/Reject Friend Request in the forum BuddyBoss 3.0 10 years, 6 months ago
Hi TJ @tjchester, so we updated the theme and it partially fixed the issue.
The “Accept” button is rendering correctly, but the “Reject” button is missing and the whole thing just isn’t showing properly.
Please see attached. Help please!

@michael Michael, thanks and looking forward to the next update (when?)! Sorry I missed your presentation in Columbus the other week. Was planning to attend but plans got derailed at the last minute. Hope it was swell.

@tjchester here’s what we got after we added the code. Slight change but the issues I mentioned still persist. Looks fine on a desktop so really just a mobile issue. Thanks for looking into this!

Robert started the question Invites to Join Groups Not Captured in Notifications in the forum BuddyBoss 3.0 10 years, 6 months ago
Hi, a user who’s invited to join a group does not see the invitation in his or her profile in the mobile experience. When there is one or more invites to join a group or groups, the sub-menu item for the user continues to read “No Pending Invites”. See attached screenshot. Help please!

Robert started the question Issue with User Photo and Buttons in Membership Request in the forum BuddyBoss 3.0 10 years, 6 months ago
Hi, this is a mobile experience issue. When the group admin goes to Group Page and then membership requests, there are a few cosmetic irregularities on the page (please refer to attached screenshot):
1. the photo of the user requesting membership is misaligned and not showing correctly;
2. the lower halves of the “Accept” and “Reject” buttons…[Read more] -
Robert started the question Issue with Button to Accept/Reject Friend Request in the forum BuddyBoss 3.0 10 years, 6 months ago
This issue persists in the mobile user experience. When a user sends a friend request, that request is visible in the other’s Profile>Friends>Requests. Notice in the attached screenshot, the Accept and Reject buttons on that page do not have rounded corners on the right and appear as though they’ve been cut-off. Help please!

Hi TJ @tjchester, no this didn’t fix the remaining issues unfortunately. Will create a separate thread for each of the 3 remaining issues so we can keep track and also better clarify.

Many thanks for looking into it.

Robert started the question Permalink to Blog Posts Broken in Activity/News Feed in the forum BuddyBoss 3.0 10 years, 6 months ago
When blog posts are published and show up on the news feed, the underlying URL of the post is incorrect.
The permalink structure of the site has been set to:
http://www.sitename.com/sample-post/
However, in the Activity page or news feed, the permalink to the post is still the default and appears as:
http://www.sitename.com/?p=123
Help please! Thanks!

Hi TJ @tjchester, thanks! Unfortunately, the code did not seem to make a difference.
Where exactly in the custom.css file do we insert it: below 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, or 2.3? We tried everywhere and did not see any change? Must be doing something wrong…
