Okay now activation emails are being sent & I can click link to activate but then when I try to log in the pop up log in screen will not re-direct and you end up having to re-fresh to get into site.
Then, it’s not allowing me to publish any updates into activity feed and when I log in as administrator the test user I created is showing as ‘not yet…[Read more]

@vapvarun I have changed the language files as required, ie. I changed ‘Friends’ to ‘Contacts’ throughout theme and plugins, but when I click on ‘Contacts’ the URL is still /friends
Are you saying that I change the url through language file too?

I’ve tried to change the URL using the code suggested in bp-custom.php file
This is the code that I have in file:
define ( ‘BP_FRIENDS_SLUG’, ‘contacts’ );
and you can see in screenshot attached that the url has not been changed??

Disregard my last. I think this article answers my above question. I have to create the file if it’s not there right?

I’m still struggling to get the sidebar styled. Am I supposed to add all three lots of code you provided or just the final one? The final one on its own didn’t change anything and returned the menu to default.
I’ve attached a screenshot of exactly what else needs to be changed and this is the code I have added:

@vapvarun I have added the class as per thread however the styling of button changes. It becomes left aligned and has a faint grey line along left hand side of it. The function of opening the overlay login is working though.
