have you made any changes to your child theme is your child theme set to your Active theme? if that is the case i would be sure it is updated also

The email invitation part of the plugin is customizable by the BP administrator, via Dashboard > BuddyPress > Invite Anyone. are you seeing some type of issue when you customize it ?

I’m using invite anyone and also not seeing a problem…

I was able to locate a plugin to allow front-end editing of a users own comments “BuddyPress Edit Activity Stream” This may work for you until it can be added to this great product

Custom Login Redirect adds a drop down to the login form which lets you to redirect to custom locations after logging in. There are 16 default options already present in the drop down and you can add your own custom URls as well
