I’ve just encountered this issue. The course description appears correctly when logged-in, but the course excerpt displays twice when logged-out. See my attached screen shot. My theme and plugins are up-to-date.

Any thoughts?

@rickh, try looking in the “emails” section of Buddypress in your website backend. You’ll see all the email templates that BP sends, and their respective triggers. If you simply move them to the trash, they should be disabled. If you ever want to reactivate them, simply move them back out of the trash.

Not sure about user opt-in, however.

This seems to work for me.

Sure, Varun, but I’m not using the Friend Connections component in BP, so no suggestions appear.

+1 on this. I just had to talk down a couple of frustrated members who thought they’d sent me a message, but it didn’t send because they entered my username incorrectly.

Very few people are going to think to look for the correct username when composing a message – they’re just going to type in a name and then get angry that it doesn’t work.

That is super weird, @pallavi… I didn’t do anything to here to fix the problem, so I’m not sure what’s different.
