David replied to the question Member's wall page shows too much! in the forum BuddyBoss 2.0 13 years, 3 months ago
TJ Chester,
I would like to change the rule that dictates how many activity notices are shown prior to the “load more” button. The reason? When I use the CSS trick to hide the notifications that I don’t want, sometimes there are very few if any notices that remain. Is this rule dictated by the number of notices prior to the load more button or by…[Read more]

I’d like to add some html into the Buddypress profile area. I’ve included a screenshot of exactly where I’d like to add the code. Could you tell me where I need to go in the code to do so? Here’s the […]

I’m patient. If this will be corrected in the next Buddyboss theme update, I’ll just wait. Did you forward it on to Michael?

Hey guys,
I can see numbered lists showing up in the comments on blog posts. Check out this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/BSimRkpsoX
Is this a BuddyBoss bug or something native to my site?

TJ,
One other question, what’s included in the list of “mini” activities anyway? I want to make sure that if I use that little CSS trick you showed me that I wouldn’t be eliminating anything from the […]

TJ,
That was super helpful! Thank you very much 🙂 OK, now for another question, and since it’s related I’ll keep it in this thread. What is the rule for what is included prior to the “load more” button? Is […]

David started the question Feature Request: Disabling certain automatic updates in activity stream in the forum Requests and Feedback 13 years, 4 months ago
Michael,
I would request something that would make a huge impact on the quality of the buddypress experience: disabling certain automatic updates. For example, as a user who does not know many of the other members, I don’t need to see that Sara and Jon became friends. Nor do I need to see it reported sitewide every time somebody joins a group…[Read more]

Since upgrading to BP 1.5 and BB 2.0, whenever I update a previous post, it announces in the activity stream that a “new post” has been published. See screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/auhUZbTVrt

OK, I set up a standard Wordpress install and the error does not occur. I also rechecked it on another buddypress 1.5 compatible theme and it occurred again. The root problem is Buddypress. I will contact JJJ about this.

OK, so I changed the theme to BP-default and the error still shows up. I don’t have the ability to check for this error on a standard Wordpress install to see if it happens outside of the context of Buddypress. […]

OK, I’ve made some progress. It’s related to activating the “Polldaddy Polls and Ratings” plugin. Activated? — error is there. Not activated? — error goes away. So now the major question, is this a theme […]

David started the question Buddyboss 2.0 Theme Update Suggestion in the forum BuddyBoss 2.0 13 years, 5 months ago
Quick suggestion – I noticed that once a forum reaches > 15 posts that a new page is started. The problem? There are no page progression links at the bottom of the list. Therefore, someone reading the forums would scroll down and think the conversation ended at post #15 when in fact there could be dozens more. Yes, there is page progression links…[Read more]
