Hi,

The main footer (I don’t have any widgetized footers) with my copyright info is not showing up on any page other than the home page. Is it supposed to be that way? I’d like it to appear on all my pages.

Ok, just double-checking…the child theme should not be “inside” wp-content/themes/buddyboss, it should be in the same themes folder as buddy boss. So it would be wp-content/themes/buddyboss-child, *not* wp-content/themes/buddyboss/buddyboss-child. Is that right?

Ok, used DesktopServer and loaded them on my computer. Still not “live”, but I think it will work when I upload it. Wish me luck!

I am uploading a new installation of BuddyBoss 4.0 and it will not allow me to upload the child theme. It uploads the parent theme just fine and you can see it under Appearance > Themes, but then when I try to install the child theme it says, “The parent theme could not be found. Ah, ok, that makes sense about the upper header area.

I’m monkeying around with my image some more and I think the padding will be ok after all so at this point I’m all set. Thanks for the reply.

Hmm, we’re close but not quite there. When I put in 0px it did make it shorter, but there was still space above the height of the Register/Login link/button that’s seen when I’m logged out. I just want that header area as high as register/login, but it’s still adding height above that.

Thanks! However it didn’t work on my end, hmm. There’s an odd number of curly brackets in the code you listed, is the one after the colon supposed to be there? Could that be the problem?

Hi,

I want to change my homepage background color to black, but have it white on all of the other pages. It’s fine to have the black on the mobile/smaller screens as well.

What is the code for that?

Thanks! I think that will probably work, but suddenly I have run into a snag and can’t test it.

Somehow in the course of copying the custom.css file in File Zilla something went haywire and now I have a “.DS_Store” file in my CSS folder. I did not put it there, and I’m not sure if it’s ok for it to be there along with the custom.css file,…[Read more]

Yay, that worked! However, I’m realizing something. I would like to keep the small “Register/Login” links in the upper right. Can you please let me know how to do that while still having the header removed?

I prefer the wording “sign up” to “register” at registration and thought I had it fixed by simply naming the register page “sign up” in the buddypress settings, but that seems to have had no effect.

Can you tell me what to do?

Newby here. I’m not sure what to call the little speech bubble icon that appears in the upper right corner. It is to the left of the notifications number and user name when a user is logged in. It’s also found on the mobile app in the far lower left corner when you have clicked on the “house” icon.
