Please add following css as a quick fix to this .Thanks for pointing it out, it will get corrected in our coming release.

.single-item.groups #primary { padding-top: 0!important; }

Hi @jofeuerstein, it all starts with the settings of buddypress (activate groups in wp -> settings-> buddypress) and and bbpress. Hope this helps
