I have to totally disagree. I have had my blog for years before buying and installing Boss Theme. Never did I ever have this issue with my site until I installed Boss Theme. It is a theme issue.

As you can see in this thread, many have the same issue with registration. Some can register, some can’t. Many Boss theme users are reporting this issue which has still gone unresolved for many months.

Can the developers please address this issue soon?

Respectfully, I prefer to know which files are changed and what the changes/fixes are BEFORE updating. That’s why we’re all looking for release notes BEFORE we update. We don’t get the readme.txt until AFTER the update.

This is a long time bad habit of Boss Theme. Constantly releasing the update and never releasing the notes until days later. People have been complaining every time, yet they continue to do this strange practice. It’s frustrating.

The problem is, you may have no problem registering. The issue is, some people can’t register (they fill out the form, press the submit button, and it takes them right back to the same page, and no registration happens).

I agree, would be nice if, like virtually every other theme on earth, when there’s an update, that the changes/info on that update would be posted. We paid $128 for this theme folks. @michael The update to 2.0 now seems to work, changes in the settings now save. But the home page slider doesn’t automatically slide anymore. Was that intended? Why not give the option?

You mentioned a while ago about database issues. I activated an DB cleaner and optimize plugin and ran it. Yes, I have tried CleanTalk. People can register when no anti-spam is active. Any kind of anti-spam I try to use for the BP sign up page renders it dysfunctional. No anti-spam, and it functions fine, but then I get multitudes of spam registrations.

So if I don’t need to update child theme, what the heck is @mth75 talking about when he says, “Begin with updating you child theme.” ??????

That all sound great and dandy. All words. I have made NO EDITS TO ANY CODE. My site even has the same colors as the demo. When I bought Boss theme, I uploaded it and activated it, and any changes were made via the interface. I have never once touched code.

No child theme update appeared in my dashboard. Only the parent theme update. How does one update the child theme if there is no child theme update?
