I’m having this issue as well with avatars see my forum post here:

I tried deactivating all plugins, no luck, we installed the latest version of buddyboss, is there an additional update to this file _inc/global.js

I thought maybe it could be related to the .htaccess, the site is a wp install in a subdomain, and there is a separate wp install on the root level as well.

I am able to add images trough the media tool inside wp however, so maybe it’s not .htaccess….

It appears that the correct folder is being created, for example today I tried to add an avatar to a test group I have, so there is a wp-content/uploads/groups/avatars folder that was created today, but no image inside. I did ended up adding the code form the activity/index.php page to my front-page.php, which helped get something on that page at least 🙂
