I am sorry to say that after a lot of testing on the updated theme the problem still exists.
This has been tested on two different developments, I set up one just for testing this problem and I had Adam from Optin-Monster look at the issue, he concluded that its a BuddyBoss theme bug.

Has any one else had a problem with buddypress and OptinMonster.

The bug stops OptinMonster from working when Buddypress is active on mu sites.

I have a dev site set up and happy to give you access for testing.

Has any one else had issues with Visual Composer not working with background Images / Parallax effects or accordions. When I change the theme back to default wp they work fine so it has be issue problem / error with buddy boss, can you please advice – thanks
