I am going to answer my own question to help others in here:

1. Get the embed code from TypeKit.com. Looks like this, but use your own:

I saw just one other topic on TypeKit, which is closed, but focused on removing all other fonts. I need to add Proxima Nova, which we have purchased from Adobe. I discovered that uploading an animated gif at the recommended resolution worked.
