It worked for me, I am still using 3.0.7 though.

buddypress and buddyboss both have their own language files. The words that you asked for to change are in buddypress/languages/buddypress-en_US.pot

Use an FTP program like FileZilla to upload the file to its path. See screen-shot below.

BP Album nav item on my website was generic (Star Icon), to change it to ‘Camera’ icon I used the following in custom.css

font-family: 'FontAwesome';
content: "f030";
}

I found ‘f030’ from here – http://astronautweb.co/snippet/font-awesome/

Download and install PoEdit – http://www.poedit.net/download.php

Go to ../buddypress/languages/

If you have a.pot file just rename it to .po
Open *.po file with PoEdit
Press CTRL F to find ‘friends’
Type translation ‘Connections’
Repeat this to do as many translations as you want.
Save the file to your desktop
You will now see a *.mo file has…[Read more]

What I meant was my Wordpress, BuddyPress and all other plugins are updated to latest on both sites. The only difference the 2 two sites have is BuddyBoss version.

BP Album is doing fine on my production site.

The site I am referring now is a test site. My production site is just the same except BB 3.0.7 running on it.

I will have to stick with 3.0.7 until this problem resolves.

This error never came in the past, BP Album worked well with 3.0.7 too. Its not a problem before BB 3.1, it also works well with any other theme.

Not sure what the plugin author will say on this. I will still write him.

Yes, I found the customization that caused the problem and I was able to successfully cure it. Also, the icon was changed as I wished.
