I agree with all of these points and have 2 to add- it would be nice if a single photo opened in a user’s profile, and not on a large white background with no sidebars or ability to edit the template.

Yep, it would make things easier. I don’t know if my users will understand that they can mention someone by using a @handle. Having it beneath the username would make it more intuitive.
The forums could only benefit from becoming more “buddypress”.

I tried placing it in
1. buddyboss-child
2. buddyboss-child/plugins/buddyboss-wall/includes
3. buddyboss-child/buddyboss-wall/includes

nothing has effect. just the original file in the plugin
wp-content/plugins/buddyboss-wall/includes

I just want to go back to the buddypress way of doing it. They don’t have “you” just the “username”. So I need to remove the special code buddyboss added to “make sense”. you can find and edit it from the pages section- on the back end.

Can you test it and let me know if you can do it?

I have another problem, even after I edit it from the back end- the text or shortcodes won’t show up on the front.

ok, problem partially solved with the help of TJ.

adding this to custom.css
.activity-list .activity-content img.thumbnail {display:none;}
leaves only the featured images on the activity feed.

cool.

but the feature image still displays in all of the comments on the post activity. (photo attached)

I cleared most of my custom css today, moved and deleted things to be sure that it wasn’t causing the problems.
