Not sure if I am the first to request this, but would like to ask @tjchester @michael if BuddyBoss can look into an option for a future upgrade that allows videos to be responsive AND also allows the utilization of the oEmbed option within the BP Activity Plus Plugin for changing video size.

So is it safe to say that the videos will not be responsive if I hack the above referenced code?

Thank you for that post, but why does BuddyBoss do this in the first place? If I exempt videos with that code does it mess up another aspect of the site? Also which “certain videos” are exempt?

We found the issue and resolved it but still do not know why it happened.
The problem started right after an entry by Elisabeth:
“dear lil’ sistar sweetpea…”

Under that, there was an out of place ‘sweetpea likes this’.
Everything below that was showing the symptoms you describe the problem.

I am suggesting to the buddyboss team ( @michael) that they add the ability to create a touch icon that appears when you add your website to the homescreen of ios devices and android.
