I have removed all widgets from the sidebar area yet an empty sidebar still appears on all pages regardless of the page template. How can I remove this area so that the content of the page is the full width of the page?

My course pages were looking fine until yesterday. I did not change anything but the page became dramtically different. I cannot explain it properly so here is a link:

I am trying to update the social learner theme from 1.03 to 1.07 but I am not seeing any updates available. How do I do this?

I have two main issues with the social learner theme where it differs from how the demo shows it.
