Hi,

How do I require a login for all buddypress pages? I have tried several plug-ins, but they all have varying options that prevent me from accomplishing my goal.

This is what I want… anyone can read blog posts, pages require login (including all buddypress pages)

@pallavi @vapvarun – this is still happening to me. The fix above in options-init.php did not work.

Hmm… just found that when I disable “Automatically check for new items while viewing the activity stream” it all works.

But I want it to auto-refresh. Help. 🙂

How can I add a banner ad above the header that will just go away if someone scrolls down? Right now, if I edit the header.php and put in my ad code, when the user scrolls down the top-bar leaves a gap where the ad was (see pic).

It works… but still causes issues.

An update that allowed users to upload their own icon into the buddypress panel menu would be ideal in the future.

Hi,

I found the solution and it has to do with editing Wordpress’ default word count for excerpts. Simply changing it to zero took it away, then I hid the div.

See attached for plugins, most are the Buddypress recommended.

Other weird things happening:

– When creating a group, when you upload the group photo – the cropping area becomes blank. It acts like everythings is there but nothing displays. Same with sending invites on last step.

The drop down menus, that filter different content, don’t appear to be working. (see attached)

When I change the menu, nothing happens. It’s as if Ajax is supposed to kick in and filter the content, but it’s not.

Anyone else having this issues?
