@benworx I don’t use BB Wall so I can’t advise there. Have you tried disabling that to see if your grammar issue is still there? I don’t see it on a standard Buddypress install with BB or Boss installed.

@tjchester Sorry my mistake. I thought when you suggested ‘change main text color sitewide’ this could already been done in Customize > Body Content > Body Text.

As a forethought, it would be good if this can be implemented with the option to order the appearance of widgets/menus.

Paul started the question Right sidebar template padding in the forum Boss. theme 9 years, 11 months ago
Is the padding shown in the attached pic intended when the right sidebar template is used? No page builder plugin active, no css that would affect this. There seems to be a few css issues with this theme.

@angslycke I’m not sure why this is an issue when using a child theme. I haven’t seen these problems with Customizer on any other theme.

Since version 1.1.0 (I think) the top Buddypanel menu link just slightly overlaps the logo area. See pic attached…

Every time I run the auto update for Boss, I then have to open the Customizer and re-save the options I’ve set. Why is this?

Paul replied to the question Unable to change body text colour in the forum Boss. theme 9 years, 11 months ago
@tjchester If I understand correctly, this options already exists. But it can’t be overwritten with custom css – you can set every other type of styling to the text, but not change it’s colour. Which is obviously something a lot of people will want to do if using individually styled text areas.

@tjchester I still can’t override it. I do think this needs looking at – we should be able to set different body colours with our own css, especially if taking full advantage of a tool like Page Builder.

Paul replied to the question How to add sections to a page in the forum BuddyPress (general issues) 9 years, 11 months ago
@foxdenvixen You shouldn’t need to rename or copy any templates to your child theme to create the pages you want. You can give the rows or widgets within those rows any name you like. To style them you can directly enter css into the areas provided by page builder when editing a row or widget. But if you declare them within custom.css in your…[Read more]

I’m unable to set the body text colour for specific pages using either page builder options, or custom css. Other styling from custom css for the same widget class works fine. Body text will not set even when using !important. How can I set this without changing globally in Customizer?
Thanks,
Paul. -

@benworx What version of Buddypress are you using? I have 2.2.1 with no edited translations, and I see “Ben changed their profile picture”…

Paul replied to the question How to add sections to a page in the forum BuddyPress (general issues) 9 years, 11 months ago
@foxdenvixen You can do this really with any Wordpress page builder. The recommendation here is to use this – https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/. To achieve what you want, think of a row within Page Builder as a section. To each row you can apply custom css so it has it’s own individual styling. You need to declare that CSS in the…[Read more]

@tjchester It is empty yeah, but the page calls the sidebar even when the full width template is set?

@tjchester No it’s not, it’s a separate page.

I noticed this in the release notes for 1.0.9 – “Fixed Blog template showing sidebar with no widgets added”. My blog page (not individual posts) has a right sidebar ever present regardless of the page template set, and with no widgets added. Version 1.1.0.
Is this expected behaviour?
Thanks,
