@noodweerbe we use varnish too but honestly I can’t think of how you can go about rejecting mobile user agents without a plugin. Might I suggest that you install w3 total cache anyway and follow the instructions? They work pretty well together.

We have 4 different wordpress installs with separate instances of the theme installed and this issue is happening with them all. Thanks but I already have that active. The problem is that for those who have already chosen mobile view, they will be stuck in that view forever! Plus the mobile theme still shows up.
