Please see the screenshot attached where I marked the label “items” I would like to get rid of.
Would be perfect if the size of the white placeholder for “text and item” gets smaller too.
It destroys the pictures. The picture “sells” while 5 or 10 items don`t make a difference I think.

regarding the “login – register” issue I found out additionally:

1) To prevent spam I use a captcha plugin called Captcha by BestWebSoft and I tried Google Captcha as well.
The Login / Register via Wordpress form includes the Captcha and its working well.

I had the same issue. At the end of the day I deleted the categories and added them again without the “show this category at the top..”. Not the most elegant way … but at least it’s working

Re login: Probably the easiest way is to use the Buddypress login widget on whatever page you like.

Forgot to answer question 2 … I dont have the issue, as in my page admins are moderators for the forums (bbpress). Therefore they must show up.
