TheOne Click Mark Spammer plugin lets site administrators mark users as a spammer with a single click from the Members Directory, a user’s profile or BuddyPress group members list.
The integration works and requires the BuddyBoss Platform installed and activated on your website.
BuddyBoss Platform is a fork and forge of the BuddyPress plugin and bbPress plugin. Any plugin developed for the BuddyPress and bbPress plugin is supported by the BuddyBoss Platform.
You do NOT need to install the BuddyPress plugin or the bbPress plugin separately. BuddyBoss Platform acts as a replacement for both the plugins.
Installing the plugin
To install the plugin:
- Download the One Click Mark Spammer plugin from your BuddyDev account page.
- Extract the downloaded one-click-mark-spammer.zip file to the WordPress plugins folder yourhostname/wordpress/wp-content/plugins OR
Go to your WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New. Click the Upload Plugin button. Browse to the download file location, select the one-click-mark-spammer.zip & install the plugin. - Click the Activate Plugin button to activate the One Click Mark Spammer plugin on your website. OR
To activate the plugin on your website site go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins and then click the Activate button for One Click Mark Spammer.
You must have the BuddyBoss Platform installed and activated on your site for the One Click Mark Spammer plugin to work.
Marking a user as a spammer
Only the site administrator can mark a user as a spammer. To mark a user as a spammer:
Go to a user’s profile and then click the Mark as Spammer button.
Alternatively, go to the Member’s Directory (also, Group’s members directory) and then click the Mark as Spammer button for the user.
A user marked as a spammer will not be able to log in to the website until the admin unmarks the user as a spammer.
Unmarking a user as a spammer
A site administrator can click the Not a Spammer button a user’s profile to reactivate their account.
