GeoDirectory + BuddyPress Integration

The BuddyPress Integration is a premium addon which makes GeoDirectory and BuddyPress work as a single integrated app, allowing you to create a hybrid listings directory and social network.

GeoDirectory will automatically start using the BuddyPress registration form to add new directory users to your BuddyPress network. The integration adds a Listings, Favorites, and Reviews tab to the user’s profile page which users can use to submit and review istings.

The integration works and requires GeoDirectory, and the BuddyBoss Platform installed and activated on your website.

BuddyBoss Platform is a fork and forge of the BuddyPress plugin and bbPress plugin. Any plugin developed for the BuddyPress and bbPress plugin is supported by the BuddyBoss Platform.

You do NOT need to install the BuddyPress plugin or the bbPress plugin separately. BuddyBoss Platform acts as a replacement for both the plugins.

Installing the plugin

To install GeoDirectory – BuddyPress Integration add-on:

1. Buy and download the preferred GeoDirectory – BuddyPress Integration add-on from the link below
   https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/buddypress-integration/ 
2. Extract the downloaded geodir-buddypress.zip file to the WordPress plugins folder yourhostname/wordpress/wp-content/plugins OR
   Go to your WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New. Click the Upload Plugin button. Browse to the download file location, select the geodir-buddypress.zip & install the plugin.
3. Click the Activate Plugin button to activate the GeoDirectory – BuddyPress Integration plugin on your website. OR
   To activate the plugin on your website site go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins and then click the Activate button for GeoDirectory – BuddyPress Integration.

Setting up the plugin

To setup the plugin:

1. Go to WordPress Dashboard > GeoDirectory > Settings > BuddyPress.
2. Make the preferred changes to the settings for integration. To set up the advanced options, click the Show Advanced buttons.
3. Click the Save Changes button.

Users can mark places as favorites, submit reviews and view all the places submitted by them directly via their profile page. You can create a hybrid listings directory and social network, just like TripAdvisor using the GeoDirectory – BuddyPress Integration add-on.
