Activity Feed Refresh

Hi guys –

I’m not sure I understand how the activity feed refresh should work.

If I have the activity feed page up as other members are posting updates, should I see the page refresh with the new activity? I do see the “Load New” link on the page as the feed is updated. Is that the correct way that it should update?

But comments never refresh without reloading the page. Meaning, if the “Load New” link is clicked, any new comments on the existing updates do not appear – it requires a page reload to see the new comments.

Is this working correctly? And if it is, any ideas how to make comments refresh with the rest of the activity?

Thanks TJ – I should have been more clear… I was wondering if the behavior I described was normal with regard to the BB 4.0 theme. I saw a thread from BB 3.0 where activity refresh had been an issue and was corrected. I was wondering if this could be theme related. Sounds like it’s strictly BuddyPress… thanks man!

@jgwolfensberger in BB 3.0 this was a plugin issue. Heartbeat is the new function that refreshes the activity and as far as I know the Load More button is as designed and it does not apply to new comments.
