Hi guys, I would like to add a search form to the header between the .sitename and .header-account divs. this is one very simple change, is the only way to achieve this by copying the header.php file to my child theme and editing it?

asking this because this prevents my complete header.php from updating when an update is released by you guys right?

@boris-kamp the header.php is not changed often, copy it to your child theme. I would recommend checking the changelog before each update to determine if you need to update your child theme files. Or you can simply wait until something breaks and then check the changelog file before requesting support 🙂
