Question
October 1, 2014 at 6:57 am #32144@vincentkaI tried a 4s, running IOS 7, and a 5s running iOS 8, safari and chrome browser on both. I also tried an ipad 1 running iOS 5, and an iPad 2 running iOS 7. Uploads don’t work for any apple device.
Android, windows, and desktop uploads are working perfectly.
On an apple product, you click “add photo” and it pops up “choose existing” or “Take Photo”. If you pick choose existing, it brings up the gallery, allows you to select a picture, but then nothing happens. It returns you to the previous screen. It never shows the upload percentage.
I do run a number of plugins, so I can’t rule out plugin conflicts, but I disabled everything I could.
Google resulted in a lot of talk about problems with iOS 8, but apple products were able to upload pics when I was using RTmedia. (Which I absolutely loathe… I REALLY don’t want to go back to that.)

AlyssaParticipant@vincentka this is a known issue we are working diligently to resolve, thank you for your patience.
October 1, 2014 at 11:01 am #32157@vincentkaAny sort of ETA? Beta versions to test? I have several hundred registered users who identified an iPhone as their primary method of accessing my site.

AlyssaParticipantSorry no ETA, no beta. It will be a new release. I’m pushing them as hard as I can to get this working ASAP.
October 7, 2014 at 2:55 pm #32330@rmsegrovesTJ, I’m experiencing this problem on a Mac using Safari. With the slight difference that I see the upload % but the photo is not posted to the user’s personal album. It does show up in the central media library.

My problem resolved itself. I was working on another issue and all of a sudden everything as good.
October 10, 2014 at 5:10 am #32425@vincentka@rmsegroves Can you provide some insight and/or specifics about what you were doing when the problem resolved itself? This has been a problem for 22 days now, and I’m going to have to migrate back to rtMedia. It’s a complete pile of shit, but at least it works 🙁
I REALLY wanted BuddyMedia to be good. But there are so many things broken and/or not present.October 10, 2014 at 5:19 pm #32460@rmsegrovesI’d been having a problem with the AWPCP (Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin) that it turns out resembles the problem that I found with BBMedia. I’d create a Classified Ad but it wouldn’t appear on my site. It was in the Admin listings of Classifieds but it wouldn’t display. This had been going on for a couple of months and was driving me nuts. I’d tried everything I could think of but nothing was fixing the problem.
So I uninstalled the plugin, deleted the directory for AWPCP, ran WP-Optimize and then let everything sit for about three days. I wanted to let the normal web server garbage collection routines have that time to clear out anything that might be hanging around.
While I was in that waiting period (last weekend) I noticed that my personal photo galleries from BBMedia weren’t displaying and started investigating that.
Then on Tuesday I downloaded a new copy of AWPCP, installed it, and as I had hoped, my problems with Classifieds was resolved. I sat back, grabbed a cuppa and went to see what I could do about the photos problem. ‘Lo and behold, I had my galleries back.
I don’t think it was just a simple plugin conflict. I had deactivated AWPCP several times, but at that point I hadn’t noticed whether or not BBMedia galleries were working. And what started the whole Classifieds problem was that a support tech at my (now former) hosting company renamed the AWPCP plugin module on me. He was convinced that the plugin was the cause of the slow site response times that I was complaining about. When I renamed the module back to the correct name all my ads were gone.
So I’ve been thinking that there was a !conflict issue! involved but not your run-of-the-mill stuff.
@Kirk, I’ve been running BuddyBoss for almost six months now and I’ve had no complaints. Both Michael and TJ have been really responsive and great about helping me out with answering questions and giving me advise with things that have nothing to do with their products. I know it’s been 22 days, but I think if you hang in there you’ll be glad you did.
