Question
March 3, 2016 at 2:34 pm #61346@kdressIf a guest user clicks ask a question on the shop owners profile nothing happens. Could there be a prompt at this time that says you must be logged in or please create an account to send messages with a link to the log in page?
Thanks,

March 4, 2016 at 8:56 am #61446@conscious-craftiesYes button doesn’t show if not logged in 🙂
It would be SUPER SMASHING GREAT though if the button DID display for non logged in users and gave a prompt ‘please sign in/register to ask a question’, that would encourage more customers to create accounts on our sites and increase sales if customers questions are answered.
Until then I also have a form for non logged in users. See the tab Ask a Question on my product pages:
I bought ’Product Enquiry Form’ it’s a Woo Commerce extension that works well with WCVendors Free and Pro 🙂 Here’s the link: https://www.woothemes.com/products/product-enquiry-form/
It would normally send all emails to the store manager (us) but if I remember rightly, I just had to remove the ’Product Enquiry Email’ from Woocommerce>>Settings and the emails started going to the vendor instead (see attached screenshot)
Obviously this isn’t ideal and emails can get lost or missed by vendors.
The above is a great way to allow non registered customers to easily contact your vendors. It however is MUCH better to encourage users to register to ask a question rather than have some messages via email and some in the Vendors inbox on the site.
Would love it if you were able to develop the button so it encourages customers to sign on/register.
Many thanks,
Karen
March 4, 2016 at 10:16 am #61464@kdressPallavi, When someone is not logged in and they search the shops that are listed under “stores” they can click on any given store that interests them. Once they are viewing the store’s page, even though they are not logged in or registered as a user, they can see under the store profile to “ask a question”. I don’t mind that being there, in fact it is a good thing. However since they are not logged in when they click that option, nothing happens. The processing wheel spins for a second and stops on same page. Please see my screen capture which shows the prompt to ask a question and you can see from the top that I’m viewing it as a guest. Can that be updated in the next release to automatically take the user to the log in/register screen?
Thanks,

March 4, 2016 at 12:45 pm #61494@kdressYes, it definitely would encourage more sign ups to see they have the option to communicate with the store owners. 🙂 Crossing fingers on this one!
March 5, 2016 at 4:37 pm #61662@georgeallen003I agree, this would be a great feature!
