Question
January 26, 2016 at 5:33 pm #57252@creativediegoI’ve looked at the BadgeOS documentation and tutorials, but I still don’t understand the following:
I want to use two groups of badges that get assigned AUTOMATICALLY:
1. A group of badges you earn when complete a lesson (mark it as complete) OR when you complete 3 specific courses. This is not dependent on points but rather completing certain lessons or maybe certain courses.
2. A group of badges you earn based on points. The demo I have installed came with a few badges, each with a certain number of points assigned to it. Where can I determine how many points users earn for a certain type of course activity? For example, if you complete the Super Awesome Origami Course, you get 150 points if you pass the final quiz. Or you get 20 points for each lesson you complete in any given course.

Bonus: Can you actually automatically assign a badge for a user that consistently gets high scores on lesson quizzes?

AnonymousHi @creativediego, I have already added few actions are your site along with sample data.
You can use them as reference and can easily set new action to assign badges and ranksYou can not assign points on highest score, you have limited set of rule which are listed there
Take a look of following screenshot
You can get this page after editing any of badges from dashboard

January 27, 2016 at 3:44 pm #57361@creativediegoI don’t think you understood part of my questions. Yes, I know you already set up badges in the system and assigned points to them (thank you). I know each badge has points assigned to them. But, but, but! How do I link this to certain actions in the course? How do I give students points automatically? How do I automatically give students points based on completing a course or quiz OR WHATEVER?
What activities is “Submission (Auto-accepted)” linked to?

January 29, 2016 at 5:55 am #57514@creativediego@pallavi, that doesn’t answer my question. Why does your support not read the questions thoroughly? 🙁
I think I’m going to request a refund.I already have it installed, and I already have the badges from the demos. The badges already have points assigned to them. How do I give students points so they can earn the badges? If one badge has 100 points, HOW do students get the 100 points? I don’t understand.

AnonymousHi @creativediego,
When you are creating badges at same page you can assign points , and you can add your steps to assigning those points
It could be possible to give 100 points on each login, on each activity post , or avatar image changehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzv-k-FcE80ieHdHLUlNU1VORHM/view
Edit any of your badges and it will show all option to you.Let me know if things are still not clear to you.

Varun DubeyJanuary 29, 2016 at 6:39 am #57519@creativediego@vapvarun,
I don’t see any a way to assign points for course activity. All I see are things not related to course activities like log in, comment on a post, publish a page. That’s not very useful.
What about giving students points for completing a lesson OR a quiz?

Did you ever manage to get BadgeOS working like you wanted?
Perhaps this tutorial may be of help:
http://badgeos.org/downloads/learndash-add-on/I am currently looking into the same problem as you – how to earn badge when finishing a lesson / course or similar. I guess there is a learning curve to get this BadgeOS add-on working properly 🙂
Best regards,

Btw I recommend you to watch this video:

MichaelMarch 3, 2016 at 10:31 am #61315@natasjaHi @mln83
I am trying the same thing but can’t seem to get it working. Do your badges show up on the profile next to following, follow etc.?
How did you set getting a badge for completing a lesson or course?

March 4, 2016 at 6:27 am #61415@mln83Hi @natasja,
(@pallavi just beat me to it, but here are some further details that you may find useful)
It’s a bit tedious to set up but you need to:
First Install:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/badgeos/installation/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/badgeos-learndash-add-on/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/badgeos-community-add-on/Then go to BadgeOS page in WordPress backend:
Watch video tutorials:
http://badgeos.org/support/tutorials/2-back-end/
http://badgeos.org/support/tutorials/5-complete-steps/For BadgeOS to work with LearnDash you need to assign “Required Steps” as discussed in the video.
Now with the BadgeOS LearnDash add-on, you can now choose the following from “Required Steps”When you complete the lesson “Bunsen Burner Basics” you should receive a badge.
I hope this helps to clarify.
Best regards,
MichaelMarch 4, 2016 at 8:55 am #61445@natasja@mln83, @pallavi
I have been trying and set up all the things needed. Still the badges don’t show up on the profile page like in the demo 🙁
