Question
March 19, 2016 at 11:26 am #64077@jofeuersteinHi,
I have trouble to understand the difference between the black register bar at the top of the theme (the one that displays only when youre not logged in) and the Register Icons on the top right corner.
I discovered that when I register a new user via the icons, somehow during the confirm-email-accept that account never become fully a registered account. It always keep showing “the account has not been activated” in the Users/extras view.
In contrast, when I register a new user through the “register” link in the top left of that black bar, the registratoin runs trough smoothly.
Is that a behavoiur “by design”? Do I have a misconfiguration, or am I missing something comppleteley? I still haven’t grasped why there are two different register processes at all … other than maybe we don’t want to show the “register as a vendor tickbox” to every user.
I hope I have described clearly. Can anybody explain what’s going on?

AnonymousHi @jofeuerstein, You have enabled the ‘WordPress Adminbar’ option from your theme’s layout setting that’s why you are getting that black bar.
For Registration process, I have noted your issue and will pass it to one of our concern teammate to check it.

March 20, 2016 at 1:58 am #64103@jofeuersteinHi,
no, the wordpress adminbar is “off”. The black bar shows only when the user is NOT logged in.
I have attached two pics to show the problem.

AnonymousHi @jofeuerstein, Please disable “Toolbar for logged out users” from buddypress setting.

March 20, 2016 at 11:34 pm #64179@jofeuersteinThank you, I’ve kept looking under the theme settings, but it was in the buddypress settings
So:
Black bar for logged in users = theme settings
Black bar for Logged out users = buddypress setting😉
The other issue (users are created incomplete, activate account does not produce a full accout) is still open, though. I will test that again after having disabled the bar for logged-OUT users …

March 22, 2016 at 10:43 am #64621@jofeuersteinHi,
tanke you, I retried again with the same result. I register a new account, then confirm the E-Mail, the account does get activated (i can log in) but it doesn’t “really ” activate.
I have attached 3 Pics to illustrate the issue.
PIC1: Shows the new account Heiko, logged in, but does not Show up in recently “active” … so does the other account “marcuso”
PIC2: Shows the new account in the user list, how it’s registered.
PIC3: Shows the new account is NOT activated. That’s wrong. I did klick on the activate link in the eMail and it did confirm that the activation was successful. If I klick on that eMail link again, it comes up with an error (i guess that’s normal).
So somehow I get users that aren’t fully activated and klicking again on the activation link in the eMail does not Change anything.
Any idea what that could be?
