Question
April 16, 2015 at 3:05 pm #38976@joymoletaHello, I am using the Buddyboss Post Widget and I want to change the size of the thumbnail of the featured image. Because of the way the posts are displayed, featured widgets have to be wide images. Yet, in the widget, it’s saving only squared(150×150) images. How can I adjust this so it looks better aesthetically?
Thank you.

AlyssaParticipant@joymoleta how exactly do you want it to look? WordPress makes thumbnails like this automatically. You can change how they crop the image with a WordPress plugin. Perhaps that might be a reasonable solution?
April 16, 2015 at 9:00 pm #39011@joymoletaThank you for your response. It would be ideal for it to be a rectangular shape since that is the shape that you are forced to use on the featured images with this theme.

AlyssaParticipant@joymoleta this is possible but it would require changing ALL other images this same size site-wide. This widget is calling something call the small or default thumbnail created by WordPress, changing this size will change the size of all other 150px images. It also would not automatically change current photos to that size, you would need to download a plugin that can do that en mass, or do it manually if you don’t have many photo son your site already. Please see WordPress codex here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/set_post_thumbnail_size
