Buddypress Headers & SEO

Would using display:none to hide Buddypress headers have an adverse effect on SEO? My understanding is that it won’t, just wanted to see what others thought.

I don’t think users really need to see ‘Site-Wide Activity’ or ‘Members’ when it’s so obvious that’s what they’re viewing anyway. And I probably won’t allow users to create Groups so I’ve hidden the BP headers altogether with CSS at the moment.
