Question
October 11, 2015 at 12:28 pm #48472@mln83I would like to allow my users to take notes while they are following a course.
I have not been able to find a good solution yet. There is a Google Drive app that allows viewing of files but apparently not editing (https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-drive-embedder/)
Then I found a couple of plugins that allows backend users to take notes but they dont work unless you have admin rights.
The closest one I have found so far is BuddyPress Docs which should allow frontend editing of text files (https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-docs/).
Any other recommendations for a social learner platform?
Best regards,

AnonymousIt’s a good idea, need to check with developers.
BuddyPress Docs support is already added.
RegardsFebruary 25, 2016 at 4:18 am #60169@icucMichael – did you get any further with this? I’d love to have a facility where a learner could click and make a private overlay note at a position on a page and be able to return and review it later.
Cheers
ColinFebruary 25, 2016 at 4:26 am #60170@mln83I am still thinking about this. Perhaps custom development is the way to go.
This platform has what I am looking for:Go to (1:55) – https://vimeo.com/96575721
Unfortunately it is a closed platform and not related to WordPress / BuddyPress / LearnDash/Sensei in any way.
Best regards,
Michael
