Can't "Like" and then comment on the same comment

Not sure if this is an issue related to this Wall plugin or to the Boss theme but I can’t both Like and Comment on the same comment in that order. So, if I like a comment I lose the ability to click the comment button and then post a comment.

@awestrucktv I am unable to replicate these results. Using the BuddyBoss theme and Wall Plugin, I liked an activity then commented on it. Do you get an error? Does anything happen in terms of a loading icon or anything? Did you try disabling plugins to see if there was a conflict?

It’s not happening for me with the Buddyboss theme (I just tested that) but not with the Boss theme.

@awestrucktv I am unable to reproduce with it with either theme. Both themes work to like then comment right away. If you are using Chrome or FireFox you can use developer tools to view the console to see if there is an error. Typically it will point to the culprit…most likely a plugin hijacking AJAX

Just to confirm, since you said “I liked an activity then commented on it.” I am NOT talking about liking and commenting on activity – these work 100%. I am talking about liking a comment on an activity, and then trying to click the comment button on that comment.

@awestrucktv I see your issue now. The ul for the text “You like this” is overlapping the 3 buttons. You can’t even unlike the activity. Try adding this to custom.css:
#buddypress #activity-stream .acomment-options a{z-index:999;}
I’ll add this as a high priority fix to the devs.
