Change freshness avatar to post originator

Hi there,

I have set up a community with Boss/Social Learner and I am getting a bunch of feedback from my users that it is confusing to not show the post originator in the forum topic directory.. See attached image..

How can I change the freshness avatar to the person who created the forum topic? Or even just add a secondary avatar that shows the person who created the topic?

I agree, it gets very confusing not being able to see who created the thread..

Okay thanks.. I did reach out and get help from the bbpress.org forums.. So far the code they have supplied hasnt worked – still working on finding a solution.

One thing I noticed is that it looks like by default BBPress shows a “started by: author” meta section beneath the topic title. So im realizing that I dont neccessarily need to replace the Freshness section, but whats missing here is that Boss doesnt show who created the topic – it only shows who the last poster was..

This is a customization from Buddyboss correct? Because it seems that by default, bbpress does show the “started by: author” meta.

Did you remove this meta section in the theme? Or am i mistaken and that it doesnt include this by default?

Ah, just found out that you had commented out the “before topic meta” section on the loop-single-topic.php file.. I uncommented it out and now it shows who started the topic.. Thanks
