Question
October 7, 2014 at 2:36 pm #32329@flick-chicksHi,
I am uploading a new installation of BuddyBoss 4.0 and it will not allow me to upload the child theme. It uploads the parent theme just fine and you can see it under Appearance > Themes, but then when I try to install the child theme it says, “The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, buddyboss, before you can use this child theme. Theme installed successfully.” But you don’t see the child theme in Appearance > Themes. When I go to the files it’s there under wp-content > themes, but they are listed as “Archive” and “Archive1” instead of “BuddyBoss” and “BuddyBoss Child.” I’ve uploaded BuddyBoss 3.0 themes in the past and not had this problem. Any suggestions?

AlyssaParticipant@flick-chicks please make sure the theme is installed into a folder call wp-content/thems/buddyboss, this is important so the child theme works properly.
October 8, 2014 at 1:23 pm #32367@flick-chicksOk, just double-checking…the child theme should not be “inside” wp-content/themes/buddyboss, it should be in the same themes folder as buddy boss. So it would be wp-content/themes/buddyboss-child, *not* wp-content/themes/buddyboss/buddyboss-child. Is that right?

AlyssaParticipant@flick-chicks correct as stated above
