Question
August 27, 2015 at 4:05 am #45210@namronsRegarding this plugin: http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-profile-visibility-manager/
If I remember correctly there were some issues / conflicts with this plugin previously. Just wondering if they been fixed now?

AnonymousHello @namrons, we are very busy with Social Learner improvement and bug fixing. It’s on top priority at present.
We will check with 3rd party plugin compatibility after that, sorry do not have any ETA on it.

AlyssaParticipant@namrons I cannot find any references to there being a conflict with this plugin. If you have a copy you would like to send us for testing please email it to [email protected] with a short description of the request/issue and we will look into it further. Sorry for the delay in response without an active install this was not listed as a high priority.
February 29, 2016 at 7:58 am #60754@mln83Has there been any update on this since October 1, 2015?
I would also like to implement this plugin on my site to allow users to show/hide their profile + activity stream.
Best regards,
MichaelMarch 2, 2016 at 8:59 am #61106@mln83FYI: I reached out to the developers of that particular plugin:
http://buddydev.com/buddypress/introducing-buddypress-user-profile-visibility-manager-give-the-users-control-to-manage-their-account-privacy/and they claim it should work with BuddyBoss Wall. I have just purchased it. I am currently testing it on my developer site.
Initial impressions: It seems to be working fine alongside BuddyBoss Wall but there are a few CSS issues (as usual ;))
Best regards,
MichaelMarch 2, 2016 at 11:24 am #61124@mln83Done some more testing now, besides the CSS issues which are easily fixed using:
/* BUDDYPRESS PROFILE VISIBILITY */ .bppv-visibility-settings-block, .bppv-visibility-settings-block > h5 { margin-bottom: 12px; margin-top: 12px; } .bppv-visibility-settings-block > p { color: #888; font-size: 80%; margin: 5px 0; }
I found that the Sitewide Activity Stream is not visible if ‘News Feed’ is selected from BuddyBoss Wall Settings in WP Backend (see attached image for details).
I hope this feedback is useful.
Best regards,
MichaelMarch 2, 2016 at 4:25 pm #61182@mln83I did some further testing where:
BuddyPress
BuddyBoss Wallwere the only activated plugins.
I found that the Sitewide Activity Stream is still not visible if ‘News Feed’ is selected from BuddyBoss Wall Settings in WP Backend (see previously attached image for details).
So this seems to be a bug in BB Wall 1.2.7
