Question
November 24, 2014 at 5:59 pm #33636@buddy_adamAre there any updates on how to customize the registration process?
This thread is 2 years old and the solutions suggested are links to plug-ins that are 2+ years old.

I need some help customizing the user registration process.
Same questions everyone else has had;
who controls the confirmation email content?
how can I customize what the email says?
how can add newly registered users automatically to an email list for my email provider?It seems like such a basic process to make sure newly registered users are treated with such a high priority, I find it incredibly frustrating that it is so difficult to understand how this process work and how to customize it.

AlyssaParticipant@buddy_adam all of these issues are WordPress and BuddyPress issues. BuddyPress controls the content. Here is a great tutorial how to change this information: http://jesin.tk/custom-buddypress-activation-email/
As for adding newly registered users automatically to an email list I would suggest MailChimp: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/
November 25, 2014 at 2:32 pm #33665@buddy_adamThanks TJ.
While we are on the topic, which entity handles the activation url and redirect stuff.
Right now when I click the activation link I’m taken to a page that tells me I’ve successfully activated my account, and I can now ‘log-in’ with my credentials. This page itself is horrible as the text is incredibly small, the call to action is a very tiny 6 character text link. How can I edit this page?
When I do click the link, and enter my credentials the page itself simply reloads and re-serves me a blank log in page. If I navigate away from this page to the site I am actually logged in, but shouldn’t I have been redirected somewhere?
If you can’t answer any of those specifics, it would really help to know which entity handles the flow, Buddy Boss, BuddyPress or WordPress.
Thanks

AlyssaParticipant@buddy_adam WordPress handles all of this. wp-activate.php is the file you need to edit. This is located in the WP files. Not sure about the rest of your questions, sorry.
