Customize members profile page

Hello,

I would like to change the layout of the members profile page. The idea is to move ‘item-header’ to the top of the page above everything else (‘buddyopress-content’). http://aflete.com/members/linasv/

What is the best way to do that? Do I need to use child-theme making these changes?

I know some HTML and CSS, so I believe it shouldn’t be too hard to make these changes. Thanks!

Yes you are right, you need to use child-theme to make these changes. If you modify a theme directly and it is updated, then your modifications may be lost. By using a child theme you will ensure that your modifications are preserved.

You can overwrite any template from OneSocial theme, just copy it from parent theme and add it in your child with the same directory structure.
