Question
March 17, 2015 at 12:12 pm #37459@style960Every time I run the auto update for Boss, I then have to open the Customizer and re-save the options I’ve set. Why is this?

March 17, 2015 at 1:39 pm #37462@angslyckeI have the same issue. I also need to create the file “options.css” in the CSS directory and set it’s file permissions to 755.
March 17, 2015 at 2:38 pm #37464@style960@angslycke I’m not sure why this is an issue when using a child theme. I haven’t seen these problems with Customizer on any other theme.

AnonymousSomewhat related to this. I too have to re-save the options set in the Customizer (though I think its pretty clear everybody does now) and I use the Mint color scheme rather than the default, and the front page header remains the default color except for the left portion of the header where the logo is positioned it changes to the Mint color. Once logged in all is well, but the front page looks poor because of this.

AlyssaParticipantThis is known issue, not sure why it hasn’t been fixed yet. I’ll reissue this to the devs.

This is fixed in the next release, coming out soon. We are removing options.css because it was causing too much trouble, I think on some servers due to permissions. We’re switching to WP default method of writing the CSS inline in the page, which is pretty foolproof.
The logic for options.css was that you can combine/minify it with other CSS (faster loading than inline) and you can override it in your child theme without needing !important declarations all the time. But, too many issues…
