Question
June 26, 2015 at 12:21 pm #41720@davejayTJ, half the problem from my previous thread has been resolved. Turns out there was a BadgeOS dependency in the Social Learning child theme that has now been patched.
I’m still having difficulty with the boss-for-sensei plugin, and my question is this:
Is the Social Learning platform compatible with multisite?I ask because everything is working fine on a fresh, single install of WP (non-multisite), but course forums don’t display at all on my multisite install when the boss-for-sensei plugin is activated. They display just fine with the plugin deactivated.
The attached screenshot shows what should be a course forum defaulting to a blank page with the boss-for-sensei plugin active.
If multisite is not currently supported, are there plans to support it in the future?
Thanks,
DavidAnswers

AlyssaParticipant@davejay excuse my lack of knowledge, I am just now learning Sensei, how did you add a forum to a course?

AlyssaParticipant@davejay thank you for that wonderful video, it explained precisely the issue and now I am able to setup my dev server the same way. Now that I have my dev server setup as you have I am unable to replicate your results. From your video I noticed you are using FlyWheel for managed WordPress hosting. I am concerned this is going to turn into another WPEngine type site that edits WordPress/BuddyPress sites without known their repercussions. At this time I will need you to contact your host and check the server error logs to determine what backend issue is causing this to happen. Once I get that I can forward the information to the developers to see if we can find a fix. I know this is possibly a plugin issue but it may also be caused by your host. Looking forward to their response.
June 27, 2015 at 3:34 pm #41781@davejaySo I have a little more information on this…
The good news is that I don’t think this is a multisite issue after all. As an experiment, I just converted my “fresh install” of wordpress – my test site where Social Learner was running perfectly – from a single site to a multisite setup, and it continues to work. So we can rule out multisite as the culprit.
We can also rule out Flywheel hosting. I now have Social Learner test sites running on both single site and multisite setups on Flywheel without trouble.
The bad news is that it’s still unclear what’s causing the problem.
The site I’m having trouble with is a clone of my production site. I’ve retrieved an error log form Flywheel, but I didn’t describe the problem to them in detail (their weekend support is very limited, except in “emergencies”). The support guy did say that there are “some” errors, and “a ton” of notices in the log. I figure you guys might know what to look for, so I’m attaching the log here.
Would you mind taking a look?
Thanks, TJ.
