Double equal Profile Field

Hi,

I don’t know how my Buddypress show me the same profile field for 2 times. This happens on registration form, profile page ecc ecc

look screen.

This field is impossible to delete because it is required

I believe that it’s a general issue with the Boss theme.

@vapvarun suggested a way to resolve the issue here:

Unfortunately the solution did not work for me since I have added some extra fields and when you replace the original code with @vapvarun code the added fields are no longer viewable from the frontend.

As I recall the double field issue has been here since Boss 2.0.0. We are now at Boss version 2.0.5 so hopefully a solution will be found soon 🙂

I have added two fields in:

Users -> Profile Fields.

Fields are of type:
Drop-down select box (not required)
Text box (Required for Member Type – Teacher)

Both can be seen in the backend but not in the frontend when I use your code as previously mentioned.

The fields can be seen (double) with the original code from Boss 2.0.4 & 2.0.5

Hi @peppe-sapienza, we had larger number of fixes and added features in current development version , thus we are updating theme part by part to make sure it do not break anything
You can use the same codes again, sorry for the inconvenience. You can also use an alternative apprach disable the object cache, it should also fix the issue
