Edit Wordpress Profile

I might be going mad but whatever route I take in I can’t seem to edit “my” wordpress profile. It always takes me to the buddypress edit profile page which does not include all the settings I need to edit. I can manually tweak the url to access the wordpress profile to edit but updating does not save the settings. Is there anyway to access my own profile (this includes me as site admin) instead of the buddypress version (without having to create a dummy admin and edit indirectly that is).

This is when I am logged in as site-admin or admin is an issue particulary to that level of access, the normal subscribers I’m happy with them alway using the buddypress profile page.

Help… it can’t be that I have to have a dummy admin account can it???
