How can I get the welcome email to utilize the new buddypress email template released in 2.5?

right now its using a plain text email, generated in the user_email_verify.php file I believe.

Actually it looks like none of the emails are using the new template..

It seems working fine , i have tested it again.

During test, i had only BuddyPress, BBpress, BuddyPress media and Wall plugin were active.
Please try to deactivate your email related plugin for a while to isolate the issue.

the following/friends emails work fine but not the registration notification email .. this is sent in plain text

by registration notification email i mean the confirm account email sent to new users when they register.

Looks like the formatting is generated by function send_email_verification( $userid ) { …?

Maybe this has something to do with the error in your registration process (e.g the “Oops Verification failed”) overlay showing the first time the user logs in, even though they have been successfully verified and are logged in.

I have tested on multiple hosts, and without any plugins activated except for buddypress and bp user blog.

Hi @stackstreetnew, current default registration notification email is not using BP email template.
We have added it inside our to do list.

Actually turns out follow notification emails are not sent in the correct format either

Follow notification are part of BuddyPress Follow plugin , it will be fixed after their update
