Question
January 25, 2016 at 4:02 pm #57153@saracabaHi there, Just got the plugin and am setting it up.
The test doesnt work. See screenshots below. The only thing I can imagine is that either the WP better emails plugin, or the Mandrill Plugin might be blocking something…but i cant see how.
I recieve the outbound test mail, but the return doesnt work. THanks
email setup

January 25, 2016 at 4:08 pm #57156@saracabaI disabled the wpmandrill plugin and it worked
January 25, 2016 at 4:24 pm #57158@saracabaIt also fails with the Sendgrid Mail plugin. Basically if I use an outbound mail besides WP it will fail

Varun DubeyMarch 21, 2016 at 10:20 am #64290@chnetworkI just installed reply by email and I am getting this error too. How do I troubleshoot where the problem is coming from? I have Sendgrid set up on my installation and “BuddyPress Group Email Subscription”. I am not sure if either would cause a conflict.
The only thing I can think of is since I just set it up, I just added the CNAME record to my DNS. Would this error be caused by the DNS record not disseminating yet?

AnonymousHi @chnetwork, Sendgrid setup will complete after dns propagation, You can wait for while. Seems Sendgrid also have confirmed your while label setup.
Please disable any email related plugin for a while to isolate the issue and also let me know if you are using any plugin to lock down your site ?

April 11, 2016 at 9:43 pm #67753@aeoncentreI’m having the same problem as the OP. I already had Sendgrid configured and working with a whitelabeled domain, using the SendGrid plugin.
The BB Test email is sent but the reply fails with the error: Failed incoming mail error: (Does not have a valid Reply by Email header.)
What do you suggest?

AnonymousHi @aeoncentre, Our next update will be available in next couple of days.

Varun DubeyApril 13, 2016 at 9:15 am #67946@aeoncentreIt’s a little disconcerting that you market half-baked beta software as if it were production ready, but I’m looking forward to the update.

Anonymous@aeoncentre, We don’t market half baked beta software. The Reply by Email plugin was launched a while ago and has been working great. The latest BuddyPress 2.5 version had a bug, which impacted our plugin.
We are currently contributing the fix to BuddyPress core, and are releasing a new version of our plugin, for additional support for BP 2.5.We’re doing our best to ensure compatibility at all times, but issues like these we can’t control, so we do our best to fix the problem, in the shortest time possible.
Thanks for your understanding.
Best,
Tom Chedd.April 13, 2016 at 12:00 pm #67974@aeoncentreI do understand, – it’s still disconcerting, especially since the issue seems to have existed for close to 3 months with no real solution other than wait for an update. I don’t regret my purchase, and trust that you will get it worked out. Good luck!
April 13, 2016 at 12:15 pm #67978@aeoncentreAlso, please understand this from a customer’s perspective — Sendgrid integration was a major selling point for us, only to find out that sendgrid integration only works if you don’t use sendgrid for sending email (!) This is what seems half-baked, and a little misleading… it was not meant as a flame, and I realize that integrating disparate systems can be a challenge. Again, good luck!
April 13, 2016 at 8:40 pm #68182@aeoncentreYour latest update 1.0.2 is looking good over here… thanks for getting this out.
